Born in New Zealand, former fashion model Henry Hargreaves faced the limelight in front of the camera for Prada, YSL, Hermes, Lacoste, and Jil Sander before starting to work as a photographer himself. During his modelling career he figured that taking the picture and calling the shots seemed to be a better career path, now shooting from his studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for clients such as Ralph Lauren, New York Magazine, GQ, NYLON, Marie Claire etc.
His famous project “Food of the Rainbow” illustrates how brightly coloured food repels us, naturally assuming artificial ingredients to be contained, when in fact the colouring used was odor- and -tasteless.
