A giant two-story café in shape of a vintage German Rolleiflex film camera is what springs up from nowhere, when dreamers follow their passion. Park Sung-Hwan and his wife Kwak Myung-Hee, both former army pilots built this absolutely stunning, oversized camera café just next to their house in South Korea’s Yangpyeong County, about 50 miles East of Seoul.
From the outside the two large bay windows on each floor make up the dual lenses of the camera. Inside you’ll encounter a collection of vintage cameras from miniature toys to real antique versions. The initial idea behind this construction was to build a place where people could share their stories and help each other to achieve their dreams. Since the café’s final opening in 2013, their little dream went viral, having attracted numerous fans all over the world. However, both do admit that most visitors are merely interested in seeing the camera café, while the main intention was to create a space for dreamers who want to share their story.
